Clear aligners such as Invisalign and Spark™ are a comfortable, inconspicuous way to straighten your smile. These transparent trays are made of a lightweight plastic designed to fit gently over your teeth. They’re more comfortable than traditional braces, and they’re easy to remove when it’s time to eat, drink, brush, or floss.

How does it work?
After an initial consultation, the experts at Imagine Orthodontics will take digital scans of your teeth and use them to create your first set of custom-fitted clear aligners. You’ll wear them for about 22 hours per day, taking them out to eat and brush. As your teeth adjust, you’ll switch to a new set every two weeks or so to keep your teeth moving in the right direction. Most people wear Invisalign or Spark aligners for about 9-15 months and wear a retainer afterwards to maintain their perfect smile.

Aligners like Invisalign and Spark require fewer appointments than braces because your aligners are prepared in advance, and you never have to worry about going in for a broken wire or bracket. Their unobtrusive design makes playing sports and musical instruments easy, and their removability means you don’t have to give up your favorite foods. They’re virtually invisible, too, so most people won’t even notice you’re wearing them.

Metal braces have a long history of success, and the latest models are smaller, more comfortable, and less noticeable than ever before. At Imagine Orthodontics, we use the “Damon System” of self-ligating braces, eliminating the need for elastic o-rings.

Ceramic braces, also known as clear braces, work the same way metal braces do but are even smaller and less noticeable. Clear braces blend in with your teeth but are slightly more fragile than metal braces, making them better suited for adults and older teens in need of smaller adjustments.
